Surfo was a Black Labrador who became a local legend in Cerritos more than a decade ago, winning dog surf contests and capturing the spirit of the old-school surf culture. Beloved by the community, Surfo embodied joy, resilience, and the rhythm of the ocean. Casa de Surfo is a tribute to him and that unforgettable era.
Every morning, Surfo would wait patiently outside Lorenzo’s door for his French bulldog to wake up, a simple ritual that reflected his loyalty and warmth. Today, the villa carries forward his legacy — a place where togetherness, culture, and the ocean’s energy come alive.

Desert Warm light. Long shadows.
Description: Named for the land behind the beach. Cactus, sierra, the dry heat that lets go in the late afternoon. Same Pacific out front, same king bed. A different quality of four o’clock.
Breeze Doors open. Air moving.
Description: Windows on both sides and nothing between you and the terrace. The room is built to be left open. Which is how most people end up sleeping here, sheet kicked off, hearing the water all night.
Ocean Straight at the water.
Description: The bed faces the Pacific. Open the door in the morning, and the sound of the break arrives before the light does. In this room, the ocean is not a view. It is what wakes you.
Surfo Bunks. Named after the dog.
The fourth room. Bunk beds, for the kids, the cousins, or whoever loses the coin toss. It is what takes a group of ten from tight to comfortable. Surfo was the dog the casa was named for.
